Long December

Well, it's here.

December, I mean! Seems like this extended year will never end, and even then the clocks change over to 2021 - might feel the same way.

There is a fresh dusting of snow on the ground this morning, and i can't help but feel just a wee bit positive and cheered up. November was a drag.

I was active in the shop throughout the month. Making seasonal christmas cards and a bit of new, personal work. Letterpress is my go-to therapy in these times - heck, it's been that way since i started printing in 2005. I feel grounded, standing at the press, music on, type in-hand. It's a good thing.

Music in the shop is vital. Lately, it's been a lot of this - Fleet Foxes new album Shore. And this - i've been revisiting The Avalanches album Since I Left You. Both lovely in their own ways.

Recently, i've been collecting words and terms from the modern vernacular, and making them into prints. Most recently - Terms & Conditions, which you can find here.

I've also been planning and printing some commission broadsides for local organizations and people. That always feels good as well.

How do you stay grounded during these times?

What terms do you think need to be recognized in a broadside?

Email me.
